 Founded in 1968, the Ferretti boatyards started out marketing boats of various sizes, and in 1971 produced their first motorsailer. In 1980, foreseeing the expansion of the market for motoryachts, the Ferretti shipbuilding yards applied the skills they had acquired in the sailing sector to the powerboat sector, specializing in the production of luxury motoryachts.
In the late 1980s, a new production unit was established in Forlì (the Group’s current headquarters), where boats up to 18 meters were designed and built. In the 1990s, Ferretti established itself as one of the leading names in boatbuilding for midsize flybridge sportcruisers.

The Group also includes: Ferretti Group USA, Inc. , the company responsible for importing Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line and CRN motoryachts to the United States and Canada, Resin Sistem S.r.l., a company specialized in the production of fiberglass products for Ferretti boats, Diesse Arredamenti, a company specialized in the production of boat interiors for all the companies in the Group, Diesel Center, a distributor of diesel marine engines, propulsion and control systems, reversers, reducers and generators, as well as Pinmar S.L. , European leader specialized in yacht painting and refitting, Zago S.p.A. , a company specialized in the production of wooden fixtures and furnishing for megayachts over 100 feet. Ferretti Group at 13th China International Boat Show Ferretti Group has again made a grand appearance at the 13th China International Boat Show.  Since its inauguration in China in 2005, Ferretti Group has established the national sales networks with Chinese dealers for four major brands: Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama and Riva. Ferretti Group’s endeavor in the past three years has been most encouraged by the fast growth of its brand awareness, strong industry recognition and growing sales performance in China. The 2 first entering brands Ferretti Yachts and Pershing have been awarded by China’s most prominent clients as the Most Favorable Luxury Yacht Brands in both 2006 and 2007. This year, Ferretti Group CEO Mr. Vincenzo Cannatelli is present at the China International Boat Show for the first time. During the boat show, Ferretti Yachts shows FY551 at the Jinmao Marina On The Bund, the biggest Ferretti Yachts model ever displayed at China International Boat Show. Ferretti Yachts is one of the most successful brands on the Chinese market and, together with its dealers, has developed the sales net work in all key coastal regions. New Ferretti Yachts models will be delivered later during this year. Pershing presents its new dealer Sanya Visun Yacht Club for Hainan province and announces the arrival of the brand new Pershing72’. Pershing72’, which carries numerous latest exclusive technological features, is currently the most luxury and the fastest yacht in China. Itama Forty, last year presented at China Boat Show, will be displayed in the water of DianShan Lake and delivered to the client. Test drive will be available during the show for potential customers and media. It will prove to be the suitable luxury boat for water-side villas. Riva Yachts’ ambassador to the world – Aquariva is displayed at the show this year to the Riva enthusiasts, with a new corporate and booth image.
