Alexander Kassandrinos is an international Lawyer, specialized in the corporate, maritime law, banking and capital market with his own LawFirm in Athens and Cyprus. He cooperates with LawFirms in Frankfurt am Main. He studied Law in the Universities of Passau, Frankfurt am Main and he holds his LL.M. from the University of Hamburg in maritime law. He is legal advisor for international companies in Greece, Switzerland, Germany and the Balkan Countries. At the same time he is the President of the Swiss Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and opinion writer in the newspapers. He is 30 years old, born in Athens.
HOW IS A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ALEXANDER KASSANDRINOS?
Very busy but very interesting. I wake up in the morning, so about 6 o clock, I have my coffee and I check and answer important business related e-mails. Then, I head out to the gym and I meet with my personal trainer. After my training I m going to my office and the hard workday begins. Between business meetings, reading and writing I try to find an hour for a lunch at the afternoon with clients, friends or colleagues. At the evening is my best time to read my newspaper to be informed what’s going on in the world, to write my political commentary- especially for the political situation in Greece and Europe- for my columns in the newspapers. About 22 o clock my work day is over and it begins my social time- dinner, drinks – but the important my visits to the down town galleries. Art is my other passion.
WHAT DRIVES YOU?
Actually and first of all my job! Is my motivation. From the other side the people motivate me. I love helping, and making people happy. It brings such satisfaction to see the smile on someone’s face after I’ve just helped them in some way.
WHAT IS YOUR PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE?
A good question! Live life to the fullest, explore your greatest fears and phobias, never regret anything and always look at the glass half full.
LAWYER…WHY? A PASSION?
Now yes…is a passion! It is almost impossible to become a lawyer and not acquire a passion for justice. More than any other profession, you will be exposed to people who have suffered injustices. You will get to know many of them personally. You will feel what they feel. And you will come to understand it is not a game. Their cause will become your cause and you will become a passionate representative of their rights. Passion is a source of strength and energy and creativity. Harnessed and channeled properly, it will bring out the best in me and inspire others. Lawyer to be, gave me the knowledge and skills to make life fairer. It’s sounds very idealistic…but is the truth.

First of all an honest smile………. I and my team, we provide to our clients protection and discrecy! We represent our clients ethically, zealously and within the bounds of the law. Except in rare circumstances, we are required to keep client confidences confidential. In any case we are prohibited from taking on representation that is adverse to their interests.
HOW DO YOU DEFINE LUXURY?
Luxury is all about experiencing. Luxury is a great love, great friends. Having a private life alongside a professional one. Is the time to read a good book. Luxury is when you spend time—to shop for example—and you are exquisitely welcomed and you feel like you’re spending time off. It’s terrible when you walk into a temple of luxury, notably in Paris, and nothing is possible. Even if you know something is impossible- everything has to be possible. Luxury is not a private jet. True luxury is when others come to you.
WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF MONEY IN YOUR LIFE?
Money is necessary for my life. Money keeps me comfortable, but it is not the only reason for my happiness. Happiness comes from within me. Money is an indicator of practical success, but not of my self-worth. For me personally Money plays the role of a recognized value for the exchange of commodities and services. If there was no commonly accepted unit for these transactions, there would be anarchy in the world. I have a very clear opinion about that.
HOW IS LUXURY IN GREECE?
The question should be, what is luxury in Greece? And the answer to this question is of course the sun, the deep blue sea, the warm hospitality and specially the Greek food!
