Ardoq Strengthens Leadership Team with Monica Visconti-Patel as New CMO

Nordic SaaS leader, Ardoq, bolsters its executive ranks by welcoming Monica Visconti-Patel, a seasoned marketing executive, as part of its international expansion drive. “Visconti-Patel embodies all the criteria we sought for this role,” affirms CEO and co-founder Erik Bakstad.

Ardoq has emerged as a prominent player in the realm of digital business management solutions, targeting sizeable tech-focused enterprises striving to revamp their digital landscape. The company has solidified its standing as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture (EA), and is challenging traditional EA by bridging the gap between architects and decision-makers across organizational tiers. Bakstad states that “Ardoq is not just an EA tool.”

“In Ardoq we are using techniques from EA, but our users are enterprise stakeholders at all levels, leveraging the data in Ardoq to make better and faster decisions. As our target group grows, we need our new Chief Marketing Officer to be someone who understands and can convey how insights and up-to-date information are crucial in the strategic discussions in large enterprises. Ultimately it is all about helping our customers succeed in the never-ending transformation journey.” Bakstad says.

Earlier this year, Ardoq welcomed Enterprise Leader Helen Sutton as its Chief Revenue Officer. The CEO is pleased to have yet another strong candidate on board.

“Ardoq transcends the status of a mere SaaS tool, and Visconti-Patel impressed us from day one on her understanding of what role Ardoq can and should play in large enterprises. In addition, she has a proven track record from similar positions in relevant tech companies, and she has a contagious energy level few others can match. I feel confident that she will play a key role in Ardoq’s growth story going forward.” Bakstad states.

The new CMO is a tech industry veteran, having worked in various software companies almost her whole career. Visconti-Patel joins Ardoq from a position as a Vice President, EMEA Field Marketing & Acting Head Global Field Marketing in Automation Anywhere. She has previously worked in RingCentral, MuleSoft, and Jive Software, to name a few. Visconti-Patel says she is looking forward to elevating Ardoq’s marketing efforts even more.

“With nearly three decades in the tech sector, I am buoyant about Ardoq’s impact in helping their customers navigate change and drive profitable transformation, especially in the current business climate. Ardoq is a leader in its field and they are bold in both their branding, product development, and mindset. They are already growing rapidly in all markets and have a huge potential for further growth, making the role as the CMO especially exciting.”

Power of Platform

With their highly flexible platform, Ardoq is targeting customers in both private and public sector, and the client list includes large well-known brands such as British Telecom, The Carlsberg Group, and MUFG. For Visconti-Patel, there is no better starting point for a CMO than having a stellar product to market.

“I feel like Ardoq is a homecoming for me as my career has centered around a cross-section of Enterprise technology domains such as ITSM, PPM, APIs, and Automation, all of which have such strong alignment and intersection points with digital business management solutions. In fact, I’ve intentionally spent the last decade seeking out disruptive technologies and was wholly impressed by the Ardoq platform capabilities, the compelling visualizations, and of course, the Ardoq executive team and investors. The technology solutions emerging from the fast-growing Nordic tech ecosystem are certainly something to keep a close eye on and I am very much looking forward to being a part of it.”

Visconti-Patel is set to commence her tenure in late August.

Ardoq is a SaaS company with a cloud-based digital business management tool – a collaboration platform that lets enterprises document their organization and better leverage insights and up-to-date information. Unlike traditional tools, the data is structured, allowing Ardoq to automatically create various visualizations of how the business and IT is connected, indispensable in strategic enterprise discussions.

Ardoq was founded in 2013 with offices in New York, London, Oslo and Copenhagen. Ardoq’s 300+ customers come from all industries.
