In a significant move to broaden its presence in Florida, CR Fitness Holdings, the leading and rapidly growing franchisee of Crunch Fitness, has announced the acquisition of nine 24 Hour Fitness gyms located in Miami and Orlando. This strategic expansion is set to transform these locations into state-of-the-art Crunch Fitness centers, enhancing access to fitness resources for local communities.
The newly acquired gyms, situated in key areas such as Doral, Homestead, Miami Gardens, Plantation, Apopka, Kirkman, Lake Mary, Orlando Park, and Winter Park, will be remodeled to feature Crunch Fitness’s innovative 3.0 design. This includes expanded Olympic weightlifting racks, a newly imagined relax-and-recover zone, and the Hot studio, all complemented by updated lighting and vibrant graphics. Members will benefit from premium facilities offering cardio and strength equipment, group fitness classes, and amenities such as saunas, HydroMassage®, tanning, and upgraded locker rooms.
Tony Scrimale, CEO of CR Fitness Holdings, expressed enthusiasm about the investment, stating, “We are thrilled at the opportunity to invest millions of dollars into these gyms and transform them into the Crunch Fitness brand and model.” This expansion not only marks a milestone for Crunch Fitness but also supports local businesses and promotes wellness in the community.
With this development, CR Fitness Holdings now operates 84 gym locations across Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The company is committed to providing affordable, high-quality fitness options, in line with its philosophy of ‘No Judgments,’ ensuring a welcoming environment for diverse fitness goals.
Crunch Fitness, headquartered in New York City, continues to expand globally, serving over three million members with more than 500 gyms worldwide. This latest acquisition underscores its mission to make serious exercise fun and accessible to all.
