New York Cancer & Blood Specialists, one of the premier oncology practices in the country, is happy to announce the addition of board-certified radiation oncologist Aleksander Vayntraub, MD. He will train in Setauket, Patchogue, and Riverhead at NYCBS facilities.

Dr. Vayntraub seeks to create a relationship with each patient and offer individualized treatment to achieve their care objectives. He exerts excellent effort with a multidisciplinary team to explain imaging data and clinical assessment to provide the most precise and accurate radiation treatment.
Dr. Vayntraub said, “I chose to become a physician after seeing my idol, my grandpa, suffer from a physical issue.” We enjoyed more time together due to his therapies, and I was motivated to better the lives of different in the same way his doctors had improved his. Through years of research and patient care, Dr. Vayntraub finds the expanding area of cancer treatment intriguing and his contacts with patients to be very satisfying.
The doctor was raised in Bexley, Ohio. He earned a bachelor’s degree in History and Neuroscience from the University of Miami before completing medical school at The Ohio State University of Medicine. Then he finished his residency in radiation oncology at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, where he was the head resident.
