We congratulate the Springboks on their 66-7 win over rugby minows Canada. This victory takes South Africa one step closer to lifting the Rugby World Cup 2019 trophy.
We call on all South Africans to rally behind the national team and show their support by wearing the green and gold jersey.
We are confident that with the nation fully behind them they can go on to win the competition.
Sport has the power to unite the nation and lift morale. We are a nation that loves sport and we have lifted the Rugby World Cup twice already and we can do it again.
In that historic 1995 victory in which President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela donned the green and gold jersey the nation was inspired to take that spirit beyond the rugby field and put its weight into the project of national reconciliation, nation building and social cohesion.
At this critical juncture of 25 years of democracy we look forward to RWC 2019 to once again experience some of the Madiba Magic and lift us up as nation raising us to new heights.
We wish the Springboks well and trust that they live up to the high expectations that we have of them. #standtogethersa #rwc2019 #gobokke🇿🇦 Go Bokke go!!
