Porsche announced the launch of its latest vehicle last July 2. A new model faster and more powerful than the previous ones. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS 2018 has been the new creation manufacturers of these fast cars to surprise the fans of speed. The heart of this vehicle is formed by a 6 cylinder engine and 700 horsepower. The new Porsche coupe proves to be lightweight, with a full tank of fuel weighing 1,120 kg; however its engine power allows it to reach a speed from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in 2.7 seconds. The new 911 can reach a speed up to 340 kilometers per hour and surpasses its previous version emerged in 2011 by 80 horsepower, in addition to having 37 lb-ft more than its previous version. The new Porsche 911 delivers 533 lb-ft.
The new GT2 RS has a 3.8-liter engine that features the same power plant as the current 911 S Turbo model. Larger turbochargers push more air into the combustion chambers to give the GT2 a better performance. It also has a new cooling system that offers better cooling to the peak loads by spraying water in the intercoolers when the temperature of the intake air reaches a certain threshold. Even under extreme conditions, the system reduces high engine temperatures by providing maximum power output. The transmission installed in GT2 is a GT Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission with seven speeds and double clutch allows maximum efficiency with an interrupted torque transfer. It also has a titanium exhaust system that, in addition to being very light (six kilograms less than its previous version), provides a unique sound that thrill speed lovers.
The 911 GT2 RS 2018 has a new chassis specially made for him. The new root chassis with rear axle steering and very high performance tires, allow an excellent grip when achieving great speeds. The ventilation system and the amazing spoiler give an aerodynamic to the vehicle which allows it to have a better displacement and give it more force. The large and wide wheels that the Porsche owns allow it to brake and have a better grip in a potential way. Most of the new Porsche’s body is made of plastic coated with carbon fiber to make it lighter, in addition to giving it a unique look. Inside the vehicle you can also see the different details in carbon fiber and magnesium.
Porsche also announced that the 911 GT2 RS 2018 has a lighter version, approximately 19 kilograms less improving the vehicle’s aerodynamics. Many parts of it are replaced by pieces of carbon fiber and magnesium. The stabilizer bars and the roof structure are made of carbon fiber and the wheels with forged magnesium. This version of 911 is called Weissach. Other parts such as the trunk lid and the roof are more exposed and decorated with a decorative painted strip located in the central part of the vehicle. The price of the Weissach version is available for a price of $ 31,000.
The interior of the 911 GT2 RS is decorated with Alcantara red colors and black accents – Bucket seats and carbon fiber accents allow passengers to enjoy the vehicle better.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is available for a price of $ 293,200 approximately. It is expected that in early 2018 it will be reaching the US councilors.
