Maestro Roberto Santucci

Roberto Santucci was born in Cagliari on October 6, 1956. His first studies began at the Academy of Music in the same city where graduated under the primary guidance of OrioBuccellato. He was invited to Festival or Antwerp held in Belgium in 1986 and to the seasons of concerts in Hong-Kong in 1987. He currently performs in concerts. Santucci has already recorded his own original music album in for of CD. The album is called “Tramonto Rosa” and it includes the song “Pierrot”. A lot of TV programs on Videolina and Sardinia One have often made use of his music. He has also recorded for RAI and he has recently appeared in the “Corrieredella Sera”, and the “Messagero” shows page as well as of many other national and regional publications.

Santucci’s second Album is called “La Leggenda di Ophelia” where the songs “Ophelia” and “ForestaIncantata” are included. They were both written and set to music by Roberto Santucci. It will be the subject of a short film made especially for TV. After “Tore delleStelle” (Cagliari – Sardinia), he participate in the first national at the “TeatroSette” in Rome as well as in many theatres in Italy.

Roberto Santucci has performed in Brussels in January, 2004, which was his first performance in another European Country. During the same year, on March the 4th, he made a performance in Rome for the personal exhibition of Anna Izzo, who is a sculptor and painter. There, he opened the exhibition with a recital. His second to last concert outside Italy was on Septermber 10, 2004 in Latvia’s Riga’s Festival where he was the only composer pianist from Italy. He recently created doncumentary soundtrack for a work about Villasimius, Sandria’s West Coast and he was able to launch his first Single Album CD called “Notturno Romano”. Ha recorded several times for RAI between 2003 and 2006.

In 2006 he had a TV-transmitted concert at the Cagliari Auditorium for the Rotary Club International. He exhibited in Antwerp one more time and then in the capital in August and September. He recorded the TV video clips for “Notturno Romano” and “Verde Profundo”.

On January 7th, 2006, he had his second to last public performance in Calcata (VI). Then he continued making appearances on TV and in December of the same year, he published his fourth CD titled “AtlantideSommersa” with the collaboration of Pier Carlo Penta who has worked with many famous musicians. His career was catapulted when one of his songs reached the Top 1 position in a New York Radio website. Then, thanks to the “Lapola Show”, hi continued skyrocketing. Afterwards hi released another video DVD called “Verde Profundo”.

Front that point his career had given him the opportunities of releasing other albums and did not stop having special participation in TV shows. He has been target for many acknowledges and awards, as well as interviews during the last years.

He is currently working as a teacher of Principal Piano at the Cagliary Music Liceum.
