A seasoned financial expert with a proven track record of success, Mr. Harlan excels as the president of Harlan Financial LLC, through which he provides a wide range of financial planning services, ranging from retirement and wealth planning to insurance optimization and 401(k) Plan management. Before establishing his firm, he worked as a wealth coach and financial adviser for Murray Wealth Management for 12 years during which time he was named the ESOP Employee of the Year in 2017. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Harlan gained valuable expertise in the scientific world with ENSR International, the Environmental Alliance, and Roux Associates.
Mr. Harlan studied at The Haverford School before earning a Bachelor of Science in ecosystems analysis and environmental science from Susquehanna University. After several years working for Environmental Consulting companies, he switched careers in 2008 and entered the finance industry. Mr. Harlan earned his Series 65, 63 and 6 Licenses. Driven to further his knowledge and commitment to professional development, he also earned the accredited retirement plan consultant (ARPC) and accredited investment fiduciary (AIF) designations. He also holds Life accident, and health, license through the National Insurance Producer Registry.
Alongside his work, Mr. Harlan has served as a board member of the Rotary Club of Lancaster for the past 8 years, where he also recently served as president. The Rotary Club is a Service organization that works closely with the community to raise money for various charities throughout Lancaster. He also serves on the Board of the Lancaster Recreation Commission.
While his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in the founding of his financial advisory firm, Harlan Financial, and recent acquisition of Sunrise Wealth Management. This strategic move catapulted his firm to achieve the significant milestone of managing $50 million in assets in less than three years. In true Entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Harlan is a co-founder of Alive3D, a tech startup that revolutionizes the sports-viewing experience with cutting-edge 3D technology and advanced data analytics.
