What’s New on LinkedIn for Business?

LinkedIn is a social networking site which was designed specifically for the business community. The goal of the site is to allow its members to establish and document networks of people they know and trust professionally. A LinkedIn’s member profile page, emphasizes on his skills, education and employment history, it also has a piece of professional network news feeds and a limited number of customizable modules. The basic membership for LinkedIn is free. Network members are referred to as “connections.” Unlike other free social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, LinkedIn requires as many connections as possible to have a pre-existing relationship.

In basic membership, a member is allowed only to establish connections with someone he has worked with before, knows professionally (whether offline or online). Connections of more than three degrees up are seen as part of the member’s network, but the member is never allowed to contact them through LinkedIn without a proper introduction. However, premium subscriptions can be purchased to provide members with better access to their contacts in the LinkedIn database.

LinkedIn has rolled out new features on its website to help promote business and companies faster; these new updates are discussed as follows.

  • Communities Hashtags 

This is a new feature on LinkedIn; its work is to help keep in touch with the trending topics being discussed on the platform, it’s a feature that allows one to associate their Page with relevant hash-tags and join important conversations that other members and organizations are having on those topics.

  • Mobile Admin Editing

Mobile admin editing is the ability to use phone and edit already published article or comment on the go without having to do so with computer unlike before. Since more members are using LinkedIn on mobile, this enables them to have the ability to respond, post and edit their Page on the go

  • Custom Call-to-Action (CTA) Button and Analytics

With this, everybody can customize the way they engage with their visitors and Page followers. Beyond the normal “Follow” button, LinkedIn has now added the way to select a custom CTA button for individual Page. This new options make it easy to convert Page visitors into potential leads, and also the new analytics dashboards provide deeper insight into how many visitors are clicking through your link.

  • Visit website
  • Register
  • Learn more

The above mentioned great feature has been anticipated by LinkedIn user, because surely, it will help expose articles about individual business faster while reaching large visitors, thereby generating customers. And also, according to LinkedIn, more additional features will be added to make the platform a whole new business-oriented social networking thus making it better than it used to be.
